Cynthia Heydon
Cynthia Heydon is the Deputy Secretary Transport in Tasmania’s Department of State Growth with responsibilities including network design, capital program delivery, road maintenance, passenger transport policy, procurement and regulation, road safety and registration and licencing. She is also the Transport Commissioner for Tasmania, which is a statutory role with State-wide planning and coordination functions across all road managers in Tasmania. Cynthia has over 20 years of experience in the transport industry across multiple Australian jurisdictions and in both government and operator organisations. She has provided advice on a wide range of complex issues associated with transport policy, planning and investment to Government, Boards, other stakeholders, and is a passionate advocate of the public sector delivering better outcomes for customers and communities.
