ACD uses advanced laser and imaging systems to automatically detect and classify cracking, rutting, potholes and other forms of pavement distress across the network.
The ACD is equipped with LCMS2 line lasers, to capture high-resolution pavement condition data at traffic speed. These laser systems measure cracking and surface texture down to 10 microns, enabling highly accurate detection of pavement defects that are not visible through traditional inspection methods.
The system is supported by a vibration-isolated mounting system and dedicated cooling to maintain sensor stability and accuracy in live operating conditions.
