Many road authorities require bridge inspectors to undergo additional internal training before being allowed to lead level 2 inspections for their agency. For instance, in Victoria, Department of Transport and Planning Victoria recognises the NTRO Bridge Inspection Level 2 course as a pathway to pre-qualification for inspecting their structures. Please refer to your appropriate governing body for guidance on whether you will be qualified to inspect bridges in your local area, on completion of this accreditation.
NTRO is working towards gaining recognition by other road authorities Australia wide.
