World Transport Convention in Qingdao, China

NTRO's Chief Executive Officer, Michael Caltabiano, delivered the keynote address at the World Transport Convention in Qingdao, China. Hosted by the China Highway and Transport Society, this global event brought together leading minds in transport innovation from around the world. 

The convention provided a platform for researchers, industry, and government officials to present their work, share experiences, and discuss cutting-edge technical solutions in the transport industry. NTRO participated in a handful of other sessions throughout the convention including the China-Australia Forum on Sustainable Development.  Our team members presented on various aspects of NTRO's work, offering an overview of the Australian road network and showcasing our innovative solutions. Presentations covered material sustainability testing using our state-of-the-art lab, road network safety plans and their benefits, and the role of Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) in sustainable development. 

The event concluded with a Technical Exchange between NTRO and JSTI (Jiangsu Transportation Institute), where ideas and insights were shared with our Chinese counterparts. These collaborations are crucial in developing smarter, more sustainable transport solutions.
