NTRO has signed a new partnership with the Fiji Roads Authority (FRA) focused on supporting the long-term quality, performance and resilience of Fiji’s road network.
The partnership will see NTRO and FRA teams work side by side across several program streams including network assessment, asset management, materials science laboratories and local capability development, combining practical experience with evidence-based decision making to support better outcomes for communities across Fiji.

For Pacific nations like Fiji, roads are more than just infrastructure - they are lifelines.
They connect people to schools, healthcare, markets, ports and airports, while also supporting local economies and keeping communities connected. During cyclones and severe weather events, those same roads become critical for emergency access, evacuation and recovery efforts.
The program has been developed collaboratively between NTRO and FRA, with a strong focus on knowledge sharing, practical delivery and building long-term capability.
Aligned with the Pacific Quality Infrastructure Principles, and supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, this program is about helping build transport networks that are safer, more resilient and better prepared for the future.
Our NTRO-Pacific team looks forward to working closely with the FRA as the program begins.
