The National Transport Research Organisation (NTRO) is pleased to announce Corporate Membership with the Australian Airports Association (AAA).

Established over 40 years ago, the AAA facilitates co-operation among airport members and their many and varied partners in Australian aviation, whilst contributing to an air transport system that is safe, secure, environmentally responsible and efficient for the benefit of all Australians and visitors.

The Association is the national voice that represents the interests of over 340 airports and aerodromes Australia wide– from the local country community landing strip to major international gateway airports.

Jason Sprott, NTRO Executive Director Ports & Airports, welcomed the AAA’s CEO James Goodwin and Director Corporate Services Adrian Plumb to our Melbourne Headquarters, with the NTRO team showcasing the state-of-the-art laboratory facilities focussing on infrastructure and pavement design, sustainable materials and emerging technologies across the transport sector.

“We are thrilled to announce our Corporate Membership with the Australian Airports Association. The Australian aviation sector connects us domestically – and to the world. We look forward to participating in working groups and adding to research, project delivery and future mobility opportunities for this sector,” said Jason.

“This membership highlights a new era for NTRO. We are excited to be part of a professional association representing a sector of the economy that delivers enormous prosperity for our nation - in cities and throughout regional and remote areas. We hope to contribute in every way possible to the industry – through pavement science and asset management, airport planning policy, future mobility, automation opportunities, sustainability and project delivery work.”
