The NTRO International Technical Conference from October 25-27, 2023, will be held in Port Melbourne, Australia.

More than 50 confirmed speakers. Nine separate streams of research. The latest innovations, solutions and opportunities across all modes of transport.

The National Transport Research Organisation (NTRO) International Technical Conference has locked in most of its three-day program, showcasing important and innovative research findings across road, rail, ports and airports.

The event, from October 25-27 in Melbourne, will feature presenters from all over Australia and New Zealand, as well as selected international guests. These are the best and brightest in their fields, and will present research on everything from the future of transport to new and emerging materials which can be used in building and repairing transport infrastructure.

Data-driven solutions for transport challenges, and views and insights from all over the transportation spectrum – government, the private sector, research bodies and academia – will feature through the conference held at NTRO’s state-of-the-art headquarters and transport research laboratories in Melbourne’s Fishermans Bend innovation precinct.

Demographics and map expert Simon Kuestenmacher, UK Transport Research Laboratory CEO Paul Campion, and Victorian Department of Transport and Planning Secretary Paul Younis will be among the keynote speakers. The program is still being finalised, but several keynote speakers and more than 50 presenters have already been locked in, with more to come.

The NTRO International Technical Conference will be held in conjunction with the National Transport Research Awards and Gala Dinner on the evening of October 26, which will celebrate research excellence and honour the stars of the transport industry. There will be five key awards celebrating those who shape our transport future.

Confirmed sponsors for the Conference are major sponsor Puma Bitumen, along with Renolith, ARRB Systems, Global Synthetics and Anton Paar.
