TRL partners with NTRO to introduce iROADS locally

TRL, a global leader in transport and mobility research, has announced an exciting partnership with the National Transport Research Organisation (NTRO) to bring the innovative iROADS platform to the South Pacific region.

This strategic collaboration aims to revolutionise road network management and infrastructure monitoring across the region, improving safety, efficiency, and sustainability.

iROADS, developed by TRL Software, and used by the UK’s National Highways to manage the Strategic Road Network, is a cutting-edge transport asset management digital platform that provides real-time data and insights into road conditions, traffic flows, and infrastructure health.

By leveraging advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, iROADS enables transport authorities to make informed decisions, optimize maintenance schedules, and enhance road safety for all users.

The partnership with NTRO marks a significant milestone in TRL's mission to expand its global reach and impact.

NTRO, with its extensive expertise in transport research and innovation in Australia and New Zealand, is the ideal partner to facilitate the deployment and adoption of iROADS in the South Pacific.

This collaboration will support governments and transport agencies across the region in addressing their unique challenges, from managing remote and rugged terrains to responding to the impacts of climate change.

"We are thrilled to partner with NTRO to introduce iROADS to the South Pacific," said Dr. Paul Zanelli, Director of TRL Software.

"This collaboration aligns with our commitment to advancing transport research and delivering solutions that make roads safer and more efficient. By combining our strengths with NTRO's regional expertise, we are confident that iROADS will transform the way road networks are managed across the South Pacific."

NTRO Chief Executive Officer Michael Caltabiano said: "This partnership with TRL represents a significant opportunity for the South Pacific region. iROADS is a game-changing platform that will empower local and federal transport authorities with the tools they need to enhance road infrastructure and safety.

"We look forward to working closely with TRL to ensure the successful implementation of iROADS in the region."

The introduction of iROADS in the South Pacific will be accompanied by comprehensive training and support for local transport authorities to maximize the platform's potential. The collaboration will also include joint research initiatives to further develop innovative transport solutions tailored to the specific needs of the region.

This partnership underscores TRL's and NTRO's shared commitment to driving innovation in the transport sector and supporting sustainable development in the South Pacific.
