This course introduces the Use of Recycled Materials in Sustainable Road Construction, providing the audience with an appreciation of the need for them and their implementation pathways. It includes an overview of sustainability, the circular economy and an in-depth appreciation of current and emerging recycled materials in road construction.

About this course

The course will use example case studies and outline the challenges faced, and opportunities existing in, the uptake of recycled materials in road construction. The program will provide an expansive insight to sustainable practices in road construction to experienced practitioners and a comprehensive appreciation to executives and those new to the subject.

  • Current and potential road construction applications for recycled materials

  • Performance of recycled materials in road construction (case studies, monitoring)

Learning about implementation pathways, including:

  • Feasibility studies
