Jaimi Harrison named Female Emerging Leader at 2026 AfPA Victorian Industry Awards

Afpa award winner Vic

NTRO Senior Scientist Jaimi Harrison has won the Female Emerging Leader Award at the 2026 AfPA Victorian Industry Awards.

A huge congratulations to Jaimi Harrison, NTRO Senior Scientist - Materials, who has been named the Female Emerging Leader Award winner at the 2026 Australian Flexible Pavement Association Victorian Industry Awards.

The Emerging Leader Award recognises individuals in the early stages of their careers who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, delivered meaningful improvements within their organisation, actively contributed to the flexible pavement industry, and achieved measurable outcomes that extend beyond their day-to-day role. Recipients are recognised for their initiative, industry engagement and their ability to create a lasting impact across the sector.

Also at the awards were a number of her NTRO colleagues who were delighted to see her receive this fantastic recognition. It was a proud moment for the team as they celebrated Jaimi’s success and the significant contribution she continues to make to the flexible pavements industry through her work in recycled and innovative materials for roads.

Jaimi is part of NTRO’s Sustainability and Materials Performance team, working at the point where research, materials science and practical transport outcomes come together.

Her success at the AfPA awards reflects the impact she is already having within the industry and the strength of the next generation coming through the sector. Within NTRO, Jaimi is part of a broader group bringing fresh thinking and technical expertise to transport challenges. Across roads, rail, ports and airports, that work is helping develop practical research and solutions for the future.

Jaimi received the Female Emerging Leader Award, while VSA Roads’ Caillan Summerhayes received the Male Emerging Leader Award. Both will now progress to the AfPA National Awards in Sydney on 23 October.

Congratulations again to Jaimi, Caillan and all of the winners and nominees recognised at the ceremony.

We’ll be cheering Jaimi on when she represents Victoria at the national awards in Sydney this October.
