The Women’s World Cup was the focus of an event involving NTRO's executive director of roads Jeff Doyle - also chair of the Irish Australian Chamber of Commerce.

The FIFA Women’s World Cup soccer tournament was the focal point of a recent networking function involving the NTRO and its executive director of roads Jeff Doyle.

Jeff is also the chair of the Irish-Australian Chamber of Commerce, and chaired a networking function on behalf of NTRO and the Chamber in Sydney ahead of the Australia-Ireland match which kicked off the Australian component of the tournament.

There he caught up with Football Federation Australia chair Chris Nikou, Minister of State at the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media Thomas Byrne T.D., Sports Ireland CEO Dr Una May, Consul General of Ireland to Australia Rosie Keane and Irish Ambassador to Australia H.E. Tim Mawe.

The function was one of a series of Leaders’ Lunches – this one hosted by K&L Gates – allowing attendees to gain insights from senior leaders, hear about their challenges, how they've overcome adversity, created success and delivered ambitious plans.

The lunch came the day prior to the Matildas-Ireland match, which the Matildas won 1-0 with a Steph Catley penalty to successfully open their tournament.
