NTRO attended Pacific Infrastructure Conference 2025 in Brisbane, presenting climate resilience solutions to 650+ delegates from Pacific nations.

NTRO was really pleased to attend the Pacific Infrastructure Conference 2025 #PIC2025 in Brisbane last week amongst 650+ other delegates from all Pacific Island countries and partner nations like Australia, New Zealand, Japan, France, EU, UK and Korea.

The agenda featured Ministerial keynotes, technical panels, country-cluster breakout sessions, project showcases, investment briefings, and networking receptions with financing institutions like AIFFP, ADB, IFC and the World Bank etc

Centred around the Pacific Quality Infrastructure Principles, Pacific leaders from all nations outlined their national infrastructure priorities - with consistent themes of Climate Change, the need for increasing Resilience and the critical importance of Capacity Building within each of their nations.

Over 40 exhibitors presented technologies and services in areas including renewable energy, digital connectivity, water, transport, and construction.

‘The Australia Pacific Islands Business Council (APIBC) have once again done an outstanding job to pull together such an event’, said Jason Sprott (Executive Director – NTRO).

‘We are all very grateful of the support of the Australian Government as major sponsor, along with a range of government and business organisations from Australia and New Zealand.

‘I was very proud to present a paper on our work in the Kingdom of Tonga and our aspirations to see Pacific nations building in resilience rather than locking in continued vulnerabilities. We are terribly motivated to continue our work throughout the region and discussions with several Pacific Nations indicate a strong desire to partner and work together.

'We know that our infrastructure resilience work across roads, aviation and maritime sectors is critical for the safety, economic viability and continued prosperity of the region and its amazing people.

'Our NTRO Pacific Team stand ready to offer purposeful, targeted and value-adding advisory services to the region.’
