NTRO becomes Associate Member of Ports Australia

The National Transport Research Organisation is pleased to announce Associate Membership with Ports Australia.

Founded in 1955, Ports Australia is the National Industry Association for the port sector.

Ports Australia members are responsible for over 95% of Australia’s seaport freight task through our nation.

NTRO Executive Director, Jason Sprott, is thrilled with the membership announcement.

“We are incredibly proud to formally announce our Associate Membership with Ports Australia.

The Australian port industry is a collective of amazing people and places around our nation – and we are proud to join this community to share learning, work together and develop innovative solutions for the future. Ports Australia facilitates a number of key technical working groups and we look forward to participating with these professionals,” said Jason.

Ports are critical for the country’s continued prosperity - as an island, trading nation. They connect parts of Australia to each other – and to the world.

The NTRO is looking forward to working with Ports Australia, along with the Australian Airports Association and other memberships which are yet to be announced.

“This membership will allow our transport professionals to become part of this incredible community throughout Australia and New Zealand – exactly where NTRO is focussing our efforts.

We hope to partner in every way possible with the industry – in policy development, ‘in-house’ advisory, sustainability, pavement science, decarbonisation pathways, automation, supply chain planning, master planning and major project advisory services,” said Jason.
