Scott Murray of AutoTalk was invited to a Basic Geometric Road Design workshop at ARRB - your National Transport Research Organisation to learn how the next wave of road makers acquire knowledge and experience in building the simplest C-road to designing major intersections and development projects.

There's a lot more that goes into the making of a road than just painting lines on top of some bitumen.

That’s what journalist Scott Murray of AutoTalk found out when he attended ARRB's Basic Geometric Road Design workshop at the National Transport Research Centre late last year. 

Scott was invited to listen and learn how the next wave of road makers acquire knowledge and experience in building the simplest C-road to designing major intersections and development projects as part of council and state government funding programs.

The workshop was delivered by Senior Technology Leader, David Milling and Principal Professional Engineer, Noel O'Callaghan of the ARRB Transport Safety team.
